The University Robotics Team to be sent to the World Championships
Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic) with one of the most honored Iranian international robotic teams will leave Tehran on Friday, July 21, to take part in RoboCup 2017 World Championship Nagoya, Japan. According to Amirkabir University Public Relations Department, Soroush Sadeghnejad, the head of the Student and Scientific Association of Amirkabir University, mentioned that these science and research competitions are held every year with the participation of the best robotics teams in the world, under the supervision of the RoboCup Federation in different leagues in one of the active countries in this field. The twenty-first round of the competitions is held in Japan, the robotics center of the world, in various research and industrial fields so that different teams from around 50 countries can assess their achievements in their six-day competition.
The Member of the Board of Directors of RoboCup Federation in Humanistic Robotics League, added: “This year, this tournament will be held from 25th to 30th of July 2017 in Nagoya, Japan, with about 300 teams from Iran, Germany, USA, Portugal, Austria, China, Brazil, The Netherlands, Turkey, Mexico, Japan, Canada, Singapore, Russia and Taiwan, in two junior and university groups, and Amirkabir University of Technology will also participate with 5 different groups in various leagues. In the scientific section of the competition, the International Symposium of RoboCup will be held on July 31st in which representatives of Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic) will represent the Islamic Republic of Iran with their latest scientific and research achievements with posters and articles.
