Tehran & AUT
AUT is located in the heart of the most dynamic city in Iran. Tehran, the capital of Iran is the largest and the most diverse city in this country. Surrounded by the oldest and the most vibrant neighborhoods of Tehran, AUT has always been a central hub for art and culture. Tehran City Theatre (Teatr-e-Shahr) is the largest performing arts complex in Tehran and is just steps away from AUT. The Artistic Center of Tehran also borders with AUT from the east. Valiasr Street, the longest street in Tehran and probably one the longest in the world, is lined by trees so tall that cover its lively commercial centers. AUT borders on to Iran’s ministry of petroleum from the north. Being a technical university AUT has always had a great partnership with its municipal, provincial and federal development agencies.
There are 4 different campuses of AUT.
The main campus in Tehran is 192000 m² with an additional green landscape of 14000 m².
The Bandar Abbas campus of AUT was founded in 1988 with one department in shipbuilding and marine engineering. Currently, this 80000m2 campus accepts students in many different majors such as marine structures, marine civil engineering and information technology. More than 300 students are enrolled here and get a chance to participate in many different marine projects in the area.

|The Mahshahr branch of Amirkabir University of Technology was established in 2001. This branch is located in the city of Mahshahr in the Khuzestan Province (south of Iran).The main goal of this campus is to train experts for an enormous petrochemical industry at the B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. levels. Research projects done here are essential to the technical requirements of the petrochemical industry, improving the scientific level of Khuzestan’s province and facilitating higher education for southern inhabitants in order to provide local expertise for such industries.|
Garmsar Campus http://garmsar.aut.ac.ir/aut/
Founded in 2012, this campus offers majors in energy engineering, industrial engineering, civil engineering and computer architecture. Students are accepted through the national entrance exam and have the option to register for online courses.
